First, let’s clear something up. When I say ‘Yin and Yang,’ I’m not talking about men versus women. I’m talking about energies — feminine and masculine — and what they represent.

Take me, for example. I identify as female, and I can be pretty girly.   And I also run a ton of masculine energy. I’m focused, driven, I take risks, and I go after what I want.  I push for what I want.  That’s Yang energy — masculine energy.

Now, let’s talk about my husband. He’s a rugged, burly, gorgeous Australian man. He’s a former stunt actor and played representative rugby. Aussies call that ‘real football.’ When  you Look at him, you’d think, ‘He’s all man.’  That’s a masculine dude.  But here’s the twist: he runs a ton of feminine energy. He’s a gentle giant — compassionate, empathetic, nurturing. That’s Yin energy — feminine energy.

So how does this apply to sales?”

Well, The way sales has been done historically is very Yang — very masculine. It’s all about selling, selling, selling. Always be closing. Push, push, push, and Using manipulative tricks and tactics.

Here’s the thing: Consumers are wise to this. They see right through it. And let’s be real: even the most Yang energy types don’t like to be sold this way either

Think about it: No one likes to be sold, but everyone loves to buy.

So if you’re selling with just masculine energy — all push and no receive — you’re losing over half the room already.  Your conversions are already going to be low.  Most women don’t resonate with pushy sales tactics. And even men are put off by it.

This is where Yin energy comes in.

Yin energy is about receiving, connecting, and creating a safe space for people to explore.  Rather than pushing, we are turning up their buying desire.  Naturally, in a way that they never feel pushed.
